Highlights from Jackson Centre to Birmingham...

We left the Airstream Factory in Jackson Centre at 11 am Monday (late for us). It was a very nice day to drive, sunny, getting warmer, and very much like Canada but just four or five weeks ago. We made it to the Bowling Green KOA for the night.
We encountered some steep (well 5%)grades on the Tennessee highways but the truck and Airebella the airstream combination we have performed beautifully...
We passed Opryland in Nashville and there is a great looking KOA near there for anyone who wants to see it with great shopping for both him and her nearby. We did not stop because we wanted to make it to Alabama so we pressed on. We were so happy for the GPS when we went wonky on the exits off the Brierly Parkway and ended up going east when we should have been going west...Nashville, for a relatively small city, is confusing!
When we reached Alabama and the Welcome Centre with the Saturn 1B rocket (c.1967) we were very happy. We need to drive the length of Alabama to get to our destination but it is clear sailing ahead. Having passed through Birmingham we could stop for the night and get connected, Full hook-up, Cable TV, INTERNET :-) . Happy campers we are.
