Kirsten and I visited historic Fort Morgan on Mobile Bay. This fort figured prominently during the civil war to protect Mobile from the North. The canon beside Kirsten weighs 14,800 pounds and the walls of the fort are said to have bloodstains still evident from the two week seige at the end of the war.
