Richard Fishing with Bob!

Richard drove up to Mosque Lake north of Highway 7 near Oompah to fish with our friend Bob and his brother-in-law yesterday and the fishing was great. We enjoyed a Rainbow trout dinner tonight and yesterday at the lake side the fishermen enjoyed a fresh catch dinner as well. The fish was very tasty indeed!

Bob's boat is a 14 foot Springbok with a 15 HP Johnson motor. They were using downriggers for trolling and worms and gang trolls as bait and tackle. The Lake was deceptively large!

This Past Week

Well, this week was busy, we had Richard's birthday, got the Boat out of storage and ready for the water, worked on the house purging and we lost our cat Ricky to old age. Sad as it was we are happy that he had such a good long life and that we were able to share almost all of it with him, except for that short time between his birth in the wild and coming indoors to the warmth of Fernwood.

Folks, we went out to pick up the boat at the storage facility where we also have the Airstream. We let the breezes blow through the Airstream while we were there and I picked up some Coastal Living Mags and read while Richard worked with the boat. The light came into the space and I forgot for a moment that I was not parked at the beach!


I should share that Ricky, our cat of 20 years, is of failing health these days. He misses Biter so much and he is getting very weak indeed. I am so glad we were able to share two winters in the south with Ricky and Biter. I am afraid we will lose Ricky this week, just about seven weeks after Biter passed away. He had a great life with us though!
